______________
Appearance:
Cassiel is a young angel standing at 6’ 5” tall with a lean, muscular and toned build from his many years of training and being a warrior. He has fair tanned skin, sharp chiseled facial features, and always an intense, serious scowl on his face and deep green eyes. He has hair that is as gold as the sun that comes just short of reaching his shoulders and several scars here and there on his body. Upon his back are six massive and powerful but flexible feathered wings that appear like white gold in lighting and white in darker settings.
Attire wise, Cassiel resembles a knight of sorts. Primarily, he wears navy blue colored chest plate, shoulder armor/gardbrace, gold metal bands over navy blue fingerless gloves that go half way up his upper arms, navy blue greaves, poleyne/knee guards, and armored boots. To compliment the look he wears a short sleeved high-collared white tunic shirt with gold trim and black trousers, a large red belt with black leather bordering the top and bottom with gold trim to hold up a torn cloak he once wore, and a arm-mounted navy blue circular metal shield with a gold cross emblazoned on it. Outside of this he will wear a slick white suit that fits more to modern formal attire in the mortal world and occasionally slick back his hair.
Powers:
*Flight: As with most angels, Cassiel has six white-gold feathered wings as long as his body and represents his rank among the three spheres. These wings are strong enough to knock a grown man aside but flexible enough to tuck against his back without causing any discomfort or messing up his walking.
*Holyfire Manipulation: As a seraph, Cassiel is able to summon and control holyfire at will, a gold flame said to embody the true essence of angels or the angel controlling it. These flames do not require oxygen as with Hellfire and can be sent out in streams, fireballs, or manipulated into various shapes and the potency behind it can be adjusted. It is also capable of smiting a soul, burning them away without signs of ash.
*Holy Weapons: Cassiel also has blessed weapons, two hand-and-a-half swords inscribed with ancient script reading “Soul Cleaver” and the other he simply hasn’t told anyone what it means. Both are sheathed on his left hip and he carries an elaborate spear but only uses it during exterminations.

Personality: Cassiel is a rather complicated young angel. On the surface, he comes off as quite serious and dutiful, almost to the point of being too much of a workaholic. He is always the one you will see that follows the strict rules put forth by his grandfather, and always willing to do whatever duty is needed to enforce Heaven’s laws and protect it. He is highly dedicated and highly focused, seeming to live up to the legacy of his Archangel father in always striving to be the best of the best. This personality extends to be surprisingly charismatic and humble however, although some do avoid him when he always seems to have a gruff demeanor.
However, there is more to Cassiel’s cold and serious demeanor. Deep down, he does care about Heaven and it’s residents, being gruff but has compassion for others. He has a strong moral compass of understanding right and wrong, but also acts on what he feels is right for all of Heaven, even during the day of exterminations. Cassiel can be supportive and out-going, even if socializing isn’t something he does on the regular unless it is with people he knows and is comfortable with. Still, he’s got a good heart under the rough exterior.
But, being the golden boy has its downside. Cassiel has set himself to an almost impossibly high standard per expectations from Gabriel. He is an obsessive perfectionist, always trying to do everything perfectly no matter how many times it takes, anything less is a failure in his mind. By this thinking, he tends to become over stressed and overexert himself quite often, making him internally distraught and suffer a concern of being inferior in the eyes of his father and grandfather. In fact, Cassiel strives to be the “perfect angel”, from his every day life to his duties as an Exterminator and warrior angel which is slowly making him having a complex that without being the top dog he will never be good enough to become an Archangel someday when his father steps down. In a sense this makes him the opposite of his cousin Charlie as he seeks to gain his father’s approval by doing everything he asks as opposed to his own decisions.
Yet, even he has his moments of seeming to understand his uncle Lucifer in some sense. He sees beyond Heaven’s blind “utopia”, knowing despite everything Heaven has its own issues as much as Hell would. More so, he has a controversial belief that Heaven is perhaps more hypocritical than anyone in Hell ever could be, feeling their so called judgement is biased and that killing the denizens of Hell just proves Heaven isn’t perfect. Not one to shy away from blood and violence, being an Exterminator has opened his eyes to the fact that his home isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, and that sooner or later they will have to face the merit of their own decisions over the millennia. He also shares the thought that redemption is just as possible as an angel winning and being cast out, the one thing he does share with his cousin.
History:
Cassiel is a seraph angel “born” from the very essence of Gabriel, much in the same manner his father was born from God’s will. He has never had a mother, stepmother, or the like, he simply became a thought and was one day born as a young boy of at least preteen age.
But as with any child, his mind was a blank slate, full of wonder and curiosity of the world around him. From an early age, Gabriel expresses a great deal of care and devotion for his son but also a strict side, teaching him from that moment of his creation the basics of the world and it’s systems. His father was caring but direct, feeling his son should be able to see the world as it is through the eyes of Heaven, so as to not be naive to when the time came to be involved with greater concerns. So, for the first years of his life, Cassiel was tutored extensively in several areas of importance for Heaven, finding a great love for history, writing, and reading the stars. These lessons also included the many languages of their residents or Redeemers that came through the Gates and the laws of Heaven.
To better teach his son discipline, Gabriel seemed him ready to have a rite of passage, sending him down among the Knights Templar where Cassiel learned what it meant to not only be a warrior but also to have greater faith. He lived among them for sometime until the waning days of the Templar. Once the greatest religious military, it soon was toppled by the many rumors and accusations against of which Cassiel faked his own death and returned to Heaven. Pleased, Gabriel seemed him ready to go about his life without constant supervision.
After this little part of his life, which had strengthened his resolve yet made him question some religious stances, he soon became part of the warrior angels who enforced and protected Heaven. But, that was not to say Gabriel’s expectations of how he should be and act didn’t begin to weigh on the young man’s life and personality. Being that his father was the head hancho, Cassiel began to alter himself to fit to those standards, to the point of obsession. But, Cassiel was often praised and noticed for his work, making a name for himself for his actions, skills, and dedication to the point his own uncle, Michael, approached him to join the Exterminators among others. Though not keen on the personally, the young Seraph felt compelled to accept while hiding his disdain for the thought of killing just because it seemed a necessary evil.
So, he joined the exclusive group, being trained under Morana, leader of the group. Since then, Cassiel has been part of the Exterminators and enforcer of Heaven for a few decades, but his views have since started taking shape and changing, becoming more controversial but remaining hidden and personal. Though at 300 years old, it’s a question of how quiet he can remain.
