______________
Appearance:
Lucifer in his default form is a handsome, somewhat short fallen angel with a fair pale complexion. Considered attractive by many, he stands slightly shorter than his daughter and wife in terms of height and seems to have a relative slender but toned build. His hair is blond, almost gold, in color and usually kept slicked back with a few tufts that hang freely and has rosy cheeks, purple eye lids, black lips, and prominent sharp teeth. One could even say he always has a goody, welcoming expression and demeanor that can be quite misleading.
Attire wise, he resembles something of a showman in a high-collared white blazer with long coattails and blood red trim with folded back cuffs, white trousers and matching top hat. His attire has some form of red somewhere on it, his coat being easily closed by four buttons and matching black bow tie. Under the cost he wears a red striped dress shirt and his pants are tucked into knee-high black leather boots. His hat is perhaps the most decorative with a purple snake wrapped around it and red apple pin that goes with his black staff topped with a larger but similar apple, a nod to his tempting nature.
His demon form seems to take two different shapes: one is curved red ram-like horns with white spot he’s at the base, red irises against black sclera, eight black feathered wings, a spaded six foot long demon’s tail with small spines, and a blood-red spiked halo. His secondary form makes him look more to his common portrayal where he still has his horns, wings, and tail but he gains a goat’s head and legs with cloven hooves.
Powers:
*Snake summoning/control: As told in many religions, Lucifer has the ability to “charm” and control snakes to his whim, regardless if they are from Hell, Heaven, or the mortal world they are controlled telepathically with his every thought. In particular, he is known to be close to and summon a purple demonic snake by the name of Nachash.
*Pathokinesis: A power he retained from his time as an angel, Lucifer is capable of sensing and understanding the emotions of those around him in a roughly 10-mile radius and is known to be able to control emotions within a smaller range of 40 feet away. Though a few have been known to be resistant to these powers.
*Umbrakinesis: When Lucifer lost his ability to manipulate light energy, he was profoundly affected to control shadows instead. His control over the shadows extends to completely blending in among them or turning into a red-eyed shadow figure, or even summoning shadow creatures akin to what Alastor can do. However, these creatures tend to be the darkest of the dark from the very pits of Hell no soul can go except the most corrupt and evil. Just from the shadows he is capable of creating constructs and minions, tending to form shadowy snakes and serpents and can temporarily make himself invulnerable when merged with them. When Lucifer really feels like messing with people, he can extend his shadow to merge with another living being’s, enabling him to perform actions akin to a marionette with a puppet on strings.
*Teleportation: Another ability he retained, Lucifer has the ability to teleport to various parts of Hell at will by tapping the ground or a snap of his finger to open a portal. He likewise is such adept at this ability he is capable of bending certain dimensional barriers to step into the mortal realm and be there as he pleases. Though, his limitations fall into being unable to access Heaven except on certain days of the year, such as Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. He can also merge the use of this with his shadow manipulation to avoid detection or move between dimensions faster.
*Hellfire Manipulation: Lucifer has total mastery over this wicked version of fire. This enables him to summon it at will and choose what or who he burns, being able to turn a damned soul to total ash or make a human feel absolute agony. Though, he also has told a few he is capable of smiting a soul via this fire since he no longer can access his holy powers or they were twisted. This fire can be manipulated like normal flames, whether creating streams or fireballs, constructs, or creating personal minions. But, he is also capable of summoning Hell creatures as well, or take control of those with a deep association to this horrid element.
*Flight: Though more generally used in his full demon form, Lucifer can summon his wings at will at any time. These wings are eight large, black feathered angelic wings that are quite strong to knock someone a few feet and easily allow him to carry one or two people if he so wished. He also has often used them as personal shields at the cost of having them injured many times, with some faint scars that show beneath the feathers.
*Soul contracting/Binding: Lucifer has quite the influence on angels, demons, and mortals alike. Known for his silver tongue and the use of his emotion manipulation, he has been able to charm many under his employ or snag them to come to Hell. He does this with all those under his employ at the palace, especially the royal guard and knows when someone attempts to break a promised deal or go against it.
*Shapeshifting: Perhaps one of his most used abilities aside from Hellfire and teleportation. This ability allows Lucifer to change both his appearance and voice, almost to the point he can perfectly transform into another person aside from certain mannerisms unique to that individual. Usually, he does this when in the mortal world to hide his features or change according to one’s perception of him. This ability also extends to his clothes that he may be wearing at the time and his horns which he can change at will but rarely does so.

Personality: Lucifer is a rather complex, complicated individual. As the original Sinner, Lucifer considers himself the one that presented the very tone for what sin is and what it can be in the form of the seven deadly sins. In fact, he seems to embody the good and the bad sides of sin.
Preceded by his reputation, Lucifer is a selfish, possessive being. He isn’t afraid to take what he desires by force, and when he does claim it tends to be quite possessive to the point of threatening. In essence, he is quite greedy, even down to the smallest of material goods or as far as someone else trying to claim his wife. Lucifer is also known for his short temper and wrathful ruthlessness, sometimes being the worst enemy one could ask for as he can be petty or easily provoked in some circumstances. He even openly admits he is not above torture and/or murder to make his point, sometimes in the most unpleasant of ways. When it comes to his enemies or those who cross him, he can show a sadistic side, seeming to enjoy causing pain and fear even for his own amusement. But on a far less extreme, he can just act like a child with a tantrum and at times can be lazy, preferring to do his own thing or mess around with and spend time with his wife.
But, Lucifer does have his positives despite his role as King of Hell. Perhaps the most striking part is his love and care for his family. He dearly loves his wife to the point he is exceptionally devoted to her despite their open relationship and he does love his daughter, but has always been awkward trying to raise her. He can be firm but can give others a chance, much preferring to give temptation and leave one open for the decision to follow through. He is known to be goofy and clown at times, much preferring to be a source of entertainment and commends skill in the arts such as theater and music. Generally, Lucifer can come off as quite laid back and relaxed, finding being wicked all the time to be boring. He’d rather let the good times roll and party, or just have a good old time than everything be death and gloom all the time. When it comes down to it, Lucifer can contradict his usual reputation, being a grinning, singing goof who is firm and stern at best.
Overall, Lucifer is a double-sides coin. On one hand, he can be a manipulative, sadistic, and cruel individual that becomes the stuff of nightmares, or on the other he can be a goofy, sociable evil-ish Willy Wanka. But if anything can be said, Lucifer is an influencer and a showman, and there’s no missing his big personality.
History:
As many know, Lucifer was once an angel in Heaven, an archangel known as the “Bringer of Light” and one of God’s younger sons. Albeit, he was the epitome of the problem middle child; he was like his brothers yet also the black sheep. Even before wandering souls had a place to call their own outside of the Garden of Eden, Lucifer was by his own account “the one who could see beyond the white veil of virtue” to what really lies beyond. The world wasn’t all paradise and serenity, not in one form at least.
Compared to the other archangels, Lucifer had no qualms stepping outside the boundaries his father had laid out. Here, he could see more to the world that had been created, spending much of his days examining the ancient, primal world while humanity stayed within its bubble. But even then, Lucifer was not above asserting his authority to the lesser denizens of Heaven, often using intimidation and violence to put someone in line or the naysayers who disapproved of how he handled things. Lucifer has even killed a soul or two but was not discovered until his ultimate sin: temptation.
No one knows the true reason Lucifer did it, nor will he ever divulge much more than a shrug of the shoulders. But, the true reason he tempted Eve with his serpent pet, the reason he so convinced her to take that apple was out of sheer curiosity. Was humanity so pure as to ignore the wiles of what they could not have? Were they incapable of the taboo? As it so happens, they were not. Once Eve took that apple, humanity’s fate was sealed and they were cast out from paradise, sent to Earth for eternity to find their penance. But, things didn’t stop there. Lucifer too was found out based on his brother Michael finding Nachash in the gardens where he was not suppose to be.
Furious over what had been done, Lucifer and Michael wagged in a brief scuffle before Gabriel and their father stepped in to give proper judgement. In the end, Lucifer was cast out to the “deepest, darkest reaches of the nether”, of which came to be called Hell and Lucifer was to become the King of the Dead and the Damned. Not that he complained. Given free reign of the place, Lucifer saw this as liberation from the chains of saintly virtue to truly live, even if it meant being labeled as a sinner. So, he settled in and began building a kingdom and eventually met his lover and wife Lilith once she arrived to Hell; her beauty and power captivated him from the very moment they met and by all means was the first time he felt any form of deep feelings for another.
For untold centuries, Lucifer has thus ruled the dimension of hellfire and brimstone, evolving the dimension as humanity and the world does. Eventually though, rules had to be put in place per his father as Hell began to expand in population, more so from the work of Lucifer over the years being occasionally involved with some of the worst disasters in human history or encouraging the most powerful among their numbers to cause havoc. Much to his chagrin, God out Michael in charge of a group called the Exterminators that would descend into his kingdom one day a year to reap the souls and keep down the population while allowing them to agree he can enter Heaven on certain days to give reports.
To spite his family, Lucifer eventually talked with Lilith and they agreed on one thing: they needed an heir should something happen. Much to the shock of Heaven and it’s superiors, Lucifer and his wife bore a daughter a few hundred years ago by the name of Charlotte of whom Lucifer has a bit of an awkward relationship. Though not father of year by any means, he has done what he can to be in Charlie’s life and teach her the life lessons he has kept to heart, especially taking no shit from others, up until recently. Charlie’s desire to redeem the denizens of Hell has put a severe strain on their relationship as Lucifer feels it isn’t only foolish but impossible.
He has even gone so far as to kick his daughter out from the palace to her “Happy Hotel”, citing he the fact that she is naive and blind. And only time will tell if she can prove him wrong.
